Name Stigmas

Due to it being election season, there are a lot of political signs littering the sides of the roads everywhere you drive. One sign in particular made me realize something. If you have any hopes or desires for your child to someday go into politics....be very aware of how their name may affect their political aspirations. It may be due to my Asian ancestry that I caught this, but the poor candidates name is "Barry Wong". All I could think about was hearing them announce this man for his candidacy and the speaker mysteriously has my mother's Asian accented voice saying, "Barry Wong for city counsel. He's Barry, Barry Wong!" And for those poor souls who don't understand why this is so funny to me, Barry Wong sounds very much like "very wrong" with an Asian accent.
